Roaring log fire, engaging owner staff, comfortable outdoor seating
The car park could benefit from proper tarmacing and marked disabled bays!!! Plus, the decor feels a bit dated, resembling a neglected corner of the past.

The Superior Double or Twin Room offered a lovely garden view, perfect for sipping a morning brew while soaking in the fresh air. The spacious layout gave ample room for family activities, making it feel more like home during our stay.
The double bed felt more like a cramped singles match than a cozy retreat, waking me up a few times as I teetered on the edge. Traffic noise invaded the serenity, particularly with the room located right off the street—definitely not restful for those who like to sleep soundly. Dining in the restaurant proved frustrating. not only did the food take an age to arrive, but the quality didn’t match what I hoped for—some dishes undercooked, and breakfast a drawn-out affair of setting tables and waiting for essentials like water and tea bags.
